With a name like ‘America’s Favorite Gourmet Popcorn’, it is only natural we are proud of where we live. We value giving back to our communities, including our nation. We strive to support organizations whose values align with ours. In our search for such a non-profit, we discovered Operation Turbo. Their message is simply:

"Sending 'Boxes of Home' to deployed military service members with a focus on those that might not otherwise receive personal mail."

Operation Turbo is based out of Arlington, VA, and has been providing these 'Boxes of Home' to our Military since 2010. Their story is amazing, and we encourage you to learn about their beginnings by visiting their website www.operationturbo.org. We are proud to support them and their cause, as we are deeply grateful for those who sacrifice to protect our home. Whether it is a family member, friend, or co-worker, we all know someone who has bravely served our country. It is only right that as Americans we support those who are fighting for our freedom.

In 2018, Operation Turbo sent out over 1,300 boxes to our deployed U.S. Military and is on pace to far surpass that number in 2020. Military members can make specific requests right on their website. Operation Turbo does everything they can to provide basics, and also works hard to include nice treats and reminders of home. From now on, this will include some gourmet popcorn! Donations to Operation Turbo are fully tax-deductible. There are no salaried employees, it is all volunteers, so most contributions go directly to the contents and the mailing of these packages to our deployed troops.

We will do everything we can in support of Operation Turbo's efforts. We have offered space and product, and we are looking forward to doing fundraisers with them in the future. Though our efforts just began last year, we look forward to being a part of their mission and helping in the ways we can. We, too, are based in Northern Virginia and know how many current and former Military personal are housed here. Some of our staff members are Veterans, and/or have family members who have served or are currently serving. We are proud of the support of all our Military family members, both past and present.
